Congratulations to Roger Federer on his 1,000th career win at this years Australian Open!

Four-time Australian Open champion Roger Federer advanced to his ninth straight semifinal at Melbourne Park with a 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 quarterfinal win Tuesday over Juan Martin del Potro, the same man who beat him for the U.S. Open title in 2009. Federer noted, “It’s a lot of matches and a lot tennis,” in regards to his 1,000th win. “Either I have been around for a long time or I’m extremely fit. You decide which way you want to describe it. But I’m happy.” Federer will face Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals later this week. Congratulations, once again, to Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for making it this far in this years Australian Open.
